Planning permission is required to build a below ground pool in Puglia. Regulations vary slightly from commune to commune. Generally speaking, if the property has an existing traditional building like a trullo or lamia, a pool of up to 40 square metres is permitted. For modern buildings up to 60 square metres is permitted.
Checks will need to be run in order to ascertain there are no building restrictions on the plot.
Obtaining planning permission, depending on which commune the property lies in, will generally take between 2- 5 months. A pool can normally be built within three months.
We recommend you chose a specialist pool builder.
We will run the required checks, submit planning permission, and project manage throughout the building process.
